On December 19, 2022, an Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia joint investment forum was organized by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) at the Baku Congress Center.

In the forum, co-chairmen of the intergovernmental joint commission - Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov and Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih made opening speeches.

Within the framework of the forum, a short presentation ceremony was held on various state institutions and enterprises from both sides.

In the end, Memorandums of Understanding were signed in various fields for the purpose of further strengthening and developing inter-country relations. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Saudi Arabia's "Al Bawani" company and "North West Construction", which envisages cooperation in both countries and other regions, in the field of construction and industry.

"North West Construction", celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, has managed to implement state-ordered and private investment complex projects in a short period of time, both in Azerbaijan and internationally.

Established in 1991, Al Bawani is currently one of the top five largest contractors operating in the construction sector in Saudi Arabia.
